our PURPOSE AND history

The Norfolk Chapter of Delicados was organized in June 1948 in Norfolk, Virginia by a small group of teenage friends.  At that time, their primary purpose was merely playing pinochle once every two weeks They eventually created a club they named "Sophistocats", which was changed to Delicados, Incorporated in 1952.
